The Convention Centre Dublin to host 90 events
As The Convention Centre Dublin nears its opening on 7 September 2010 in less than one month, it has confirmed 90 events, which will help boost the local economy by €103m. Booked events to date include the European Union Geriatric Medicine Society Conference in September 2010 with 750 delegates; International Statistics Institute in August 2011 with 3000 delegates; The International Bar Association in October 2012 with over 3000 delegates; and The International Conference of Emergency Medicine in June 2012 with over 2000 delegates.
The CCD was designed around the delegate experience and offers 22 multi-functional, flexible rooms suitable for meetings, conferences and exhibitions of all shapes and sizes – from small corporate meetings to international congresses. The entire venue is finished to the highest specifications and incorporates the latest technology throughout. Recognised as the first carbon neutral convention centre, this contemporary design meets the highest standards of environmental sustainability. We are also committed to long-term sustainability in accordance with the International Standards Organisation (ISO) 14001 and will be seeking accreditation following our opening.
